General Rules
  • A student should carry his/her Heritans' Almanac to school everyday. It must have his/her photograph with complete information duly signed by the parents.
  • Students who come to school on their own should arrive at school before the bell rings. No student is allowed to come to school in a self-driven scooter, motorcycle or car. The school gates will close at 7:50a.m.
  • Non-Sikh should get their hair cut at regular intervals. Sikh boys must wear patkas.
  • Students are expected to respect the school property. No student should damage any school furniture, write or draw anything on walls or in any way damage things belonging to others. Damage done even by accident should be reported at once to the section educators or to the Principal. Students are liable to pay for the damage caused.
  • The school is not responsible for goods lost. It is not advisable to bring valuable articles like expensive watches or fountain pens to school. Name tags for sweaters, blazers, and shoes are required.
  • Students who come to school in the care of servant should never leave before the servant arrives. In case of any delay, they should report to the school office. Those who go home alone should be prompt in returning straight home.
  • The school reserves the right to suspend or to take strict disciplinary action against a student whose diligence is constantly unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to other students.
  • Once a child has come to the school, he/she should not be asked to come home on half day leave or leave from any period. In case emergency, the parents may collect the child from the school personally.
  • Students should get their assessment reports signed by their parents/guardians within threes days of the receipt of the assessment reports and return them to the section educators.
  • Students should not miss any teaching/games/ activity period.
  • No student shall indulge in any of the following practices namely:
  • Disfiguring or otherwise damaging any school property.
  • Rowdy and rude behavior.
  • Use of violence in any form.
  • Casteism, communism or practice of un-touchability.
  • Please note that no request, seeking permission to allow the child to go to friends/ relative's house, shall be entertained.
  • Each student will be issued two I-Cards. It will be mandatory for the parents or any nominee to show the duplicate I- Card of the child to the bus guard or school guard in order to collect the child. As per the school rule the child will be handed over to anyone who shows the duplicate I-card of the child.
  • The loss of an I-card must be reported to the school immediately.
  • If your ward is to leave the school campus during the school hours, parents should personally obtain a gate pass from the reception. This must be presented to the Class Teacher at the time of leaving the school. No child will be allowed to leave the school premises on telephonic request with servant/ drivers or with any one else. This is for the security of your ward. All parents are expected to co-operate with us and not go to the class directly.
  • Students suffering from infectious diseases like Conjunctivitis, Dermatitis Scabies etc. should not be sent to the school.
  • Students suffering from chronic diseases like Asthma, Epilepsy Rheumatic heart disease etc. are advised to be under the continuous medical supervision of a specialist doctor. History of their illness must be filled up in the diary (Heritans Almanac).
  • A student returning to the school after suffering from an infectious or contagious disease should produce a doctor's certificate of fitness permitting him to attend the school. He/she must make up all the work missed by him/her.
  • Repeated absence without leave application, unexplained absence for more than six consecutive days renders the student's admission canceled.
  • In case of any indisposition/injury/mishap, the school shall provide First Aid to the students and parents will be informed. In case of any emergency, students will be referred to the nearest hospital and parents shall bear all expenses thereof.
  • In case you need to meet the principal/leaders kindly make sure you take prior appointment.
  • Parents under no circumstances are allowed to directly enter the classroom during school hours.
Withdrawl Rules
  • One clear calendar month's notice in writing or a month's fees in lieu of such notice must be given before a pupil can be withdrawn.
  • Those who leave the school in the month of May must in all classes pay the fees for the month of June. No fee other than caution money is refundable at any stage.
  • Transfer Certificates will not be issued until all dues of the school are settled.
  • Students can be asked to leave the school on the following grounds:
    • Disciplinary
    • Unsatisfactory progress in academics.
    • Detention or repeated detention in a class. As a rule only those students will be retained on the roll of the school who can take the school leaving examination and are under eighteen years of age. Where a withdrawal takes place due to above reasons the questions of charging month's fee in lieu of the notice does not arise.
  • Application to be given one month in advance if any assessment report is required in case of mid term withdrawal.
