Director Making each child realize his dreams...

DirectorThe school decided to walk the road less travelled three years ago. Our understanding of our goals and approach may have been clear, but we realised over time that communicating it to the larger Heritage Community was totally another thing. In several meetings with parents over the last couple of years we figured we needed to enhance communication to build a common understanding of our purpose, vision and goals

We’ve come a long way from where we started off five years ago. The 10th of October 2002 was the day Shikha Bakshi our first teacher (staff) joined us; she still continues to teach Maths to the middle school. The moment brings back memories of the four people office we had for a good six months in which we managed the admissions, recruitment, induction and setting up of the whole school. Today we are a proud team of 176 staff members and 1400 wonderfully bright and uniquely gifted kids. That probably gives us the best teacher to student ratio in the country! I often share with parents and friends that in all the organisations that I’ve worked with I have never seen the kind of work and commitment the teachers of the Heritage School display.

Every parent who has been with us through this period knows what a roller coaster ride it has been. I’d like to thank each one of you for hanging in on all the loops and curves and encouraging us to do the best for our children. Thank you also for trusting us with your most priceless gift.

We have always strive to make education more real, meaningful and engaging. This year has thrown many challenges at us. To balance our aspiration for real education alongside our aspiration for the kids’ success in the Board exams has been quite a daunting task. While we keep our eyes firmly fixed on this goal, there is a lot that is happening in the school. From the Music Evenings that have been started by some really committed parents to the fitness tests in the middle and senior schools to the art festival, the school is bursting with activity.

Finally, my purpose is to raise the bar on all aspects of school life.
