Day two of the ongoing reading week had the tiny tots of Pre Primary and Primarywing interacting with authors, story tellers and parent volunteers on July 27, 2010. Pre schoolers met the two naughty boys and Zebra through the stories enacted by Ms. Anupama Vohra, a parent volunteer. The students of class I had an interaction with the author Ms. Harminder Ohri who narrated “Magic Ditch” and “Bani”. Students of class II enjoyed the puppet show which was followed by a game by Ms. Sumita Malik and Ms. Ekta Babbar.Class III A students enjoyed the circle time where Ms. Anubhuti and Ms. Shweta from the Institute of Home Economics enacted the story “Eecha Poocha” in groups. Students of class III B played name games followed by the story “The snowman” and also played the rhyming word game. Students of class IV A and B were thrilled to meet Mr. Neel Paul from Hatchette Publishing House and listened to the imaginative story “The Day it rained letters” followed by the activity (imagination room). Students of IV C enjoyed the story “The twelve princesses” and also gave a new twist to it. The story was narrated by Ms. Anjali Bhandari.Class V A students enjoyed a presentation on stories like “Krishna saved the Dinosaur”, “Unlucky Evil Man Anmada’s Destiny”, “The Evil Dogs and Beast”, “The Farm Story”, “The Magical world and villagers” and “The Misuse of water” with their teacher Ms. Maansi Pahwa. Students of V B met the Maths Monster and gave a new twist to the story with Ms. Neeta Duggal which was followed by a fun worksheet. Students of class V C enjoyed listening to “Magical Web Bridge” followed by a discussion on their dreams. They attentively listened to Ms. Divya and Ms. Shilpa from The Institute of Home Economics culminating the session by an activity on ‘Sound Scape’.
