 Currently 6 buses ply. They provide transport to and from the school. A security guard always accompanies the students and the parents are free to call the transport incharge, in case of any emergency.
Parents are also invited to operate their private buses and take the responsibility of safe and smooth travel of students.
Most students travel by private quails. The dispersal is undertaken by the school staff and utmost priority is given to handing over of students to the drivers/ parents / guardians. No child is handed over to personnel who do not have I Card or relevant authorization for picking up the student.
Kindly note that the ‘Policy for Regulation of School Vans issued by the Delhi Government lays down the following RULES that should be adhered for operation of School Cabs.
- Vehicles should have a commercial registration with a number of the series DL 1K and a horizontal golden yellow border on all sides.
- The vehicle should not be more than 15 years old.
- The vehicle should have a speed governor. The speed should not be more than 40kmph.
- It should run on clean fuel- CNG/LPG- if the latter then a proper kit in place.
- No overloading is allowed when carrying school children. The number of kids should not be more than one and half times the carrying capacity given in the registration certificate.
The school recommends the following GUIDELINES be adhered to:
- The police verification of driver is done.
- That a parent representative is to be chosen for each route who can co-ordinate with school as well.
- Please keep telephone numbers of co-parents.
- Please ensure that the vehicle is registered with the Transport Authority.
