Dear Parents,
Looking at years gone by, we see ourselves to have come a long way. This journey has not been smooth but surely, full of rich and varied experiences. It has helped each one of us to evolve and grow as an individual and together as an organization. More so, the experiences we’ve had as a result of our Endeavour which involved our children, parents and community has deepened our realization that purpose of Education in the present day context needs to be questioned seriously. The definition and focus needs to shift from ‘overall development of the child’ to a bigger need of looking at it as a challenge to transform beliefs, mindsets, paradigms and vision. It is important for us to look at children as a powerful resource of our future and Education as a tool to empower children to question, perform, reflect, and communicate powerfully to influence change. In the past five years, we have continuously made attempts to look at Education from a different perspective and take the risk of introducing changes quite contrary to accepted norms. Whether it was doing away with Examination, Marks, Grades, Competitions, Awards, Rewards, Uniform or introducing Word Approach over teaching Alphabet or allowing children to invent spellings than learning some, the school consciously chose a difficult path even at the cost of displeasing some of the parents. The commitment to children, teaching and community was and is of much greater relevance than to an individual be it a teacher or a parent. We can assure you that we stand committed to the cause of Education and shall leave no stone unturned to achieve our mission. We need your faith, support and feedback in driving us further.
Learning infrastructures that effectively integrate working and learning do not emerge wholly formed. Rather, they develop over time.
